Dissertation Committee confirmed!

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve officially secured my dissertation committee! This marks a significant step forward on my journey, and I couldn't be more grateful for the incredible mentors and experts who will guide me through this process. With the committee in place, my focus now turns fully to drafting Chapter 1, which I aim to submit by Thanksgiving.

Writing, for me, is very much a conjuring process. It feels like an act of bringing my dreams and visions of this dissertation into reality, one word at a time. Translating the vastness of what I envision into text is both challenging and exhilarating—a process of weaving the intangible into the tangible. This first chapter, in particular, serves as the groundwork and is often one of the most time-intensive chapters. Many scholars find that Chapters 1 and 2 require the deepest reflection, as they set the tone and theoretical direction for everything that follows.

My hope is to make substantial progress on this draft and submit it by Thanksgiving. For everyone else on this journey, remember that every page brings us closer to manifesting our visions on paper. Here’s to the challenges and triumphs of the dissertation process!
